Privacy Policy

Last updated 31 July 2026

The short version: Chasing Ballparks collects nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking. Nothing you enter leaves your device except as described below.

What we collect

Nothing. We operate no servers, no user accounts and no database. We cannot see your trips, your saved parks, your diary entries or your location, because none of it is ever sent to us.

What stays on your device

Your saved trips, planning preferences, park checklist, game diary entries and notes are stored only on your iPhone. Deleting the app deletes them. If you have iCloud backup enabled, they are included in your own encrypted device backup, which we have no access to.

Location

If you grant location access, it is used once, on your device, to work out your home city so trips can be planned from where you are. The coordinates are not transmitted to us or to anyone else. The permission is optional — you can type a city or address instead, and the app works the same.

Services the app contacts

The app makes network requests directly from your phone to:

When you tap a booking link, your browser opens that company's own site — Google Flights, Booking.com, Kayak, Amtrak, SeatGeek, or a club's ticket page. From that point their privacy policy applies, not ours. Some of those links carry an affiliate tag identifying Chasing Ballparks as the referrer. That tag identifies the app, never you, and the price you pay is unchanged.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and collects no data from anyone, of any age.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Since the app collects nothing, we do not expect it to.
